This section contains the professional learning materials and supporting resources used during the 2022/2023 cluster CPD. The materials and resources will further support the professional learning of colleagues at school level, and of those teachers who are new or returning to Applied Technology.

The CPD PowerPoint Presentation has been split into three parts:

Part 1 - Teachers explore the development of knowledge, understanding and skills through a First-Year learning experience with a focus on Electrical Control. They consider the use of success criteria to support learning. Teachers also engage with an Electrical Circuits Resource as a teaching and learning support in Applied Technology.

Part 2 - Teachers explore the development of knowledge, understanding and skills through a Second-Year learning experience with a focus on Electrical Control. They consider how a sensor circuit board can support self-directed learning and the development of problem-solving and creative thinking skills. Teachers also consider how they can support students to document and act on learning.

Part 3 - Teachers explore how assessment items can support an integrated approach towards learning in Applied Technology. They also consider opportunities to support ongoing teaching and learning.
