Classroom Strategies

JCT recognises the importance of teaching and learning strategies to activate student’s engagement and participation with learning. Using these strategies, however, is particularly challenging during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

The JCT Whole-School Team has repurposed 24 of the existing teaching and learning strategies for students and teachers in the physically distanced classroom and for students engaging with online learning from home. They are available for download in PDF format. This will support all students in the progression of their learning in the unusual circumstances that present this year.

Best practice suggests that teachers explore these strategies within their subject department and experiment and embed their use with students. Reflect on what worked and didn't work and share this with each other.
