As a result of restrictions due to Covid-19, the interruption to school openings at the commencement of the 2020/2021 school year and the prolonged period of school closure since March 2020 which has resulted in significant loss of class contact time, JCT is unable to offer face-to-face second teaching subject CPD workshops during the September/October 2020 period this year.
Instead, we have worked hard to re-purpose our 2019/2020 subject workshops to make them suitable for online engagement by teachers. All subject CPD workshops facilitated during 2019/2020, therefore, have been uploaded to our website (www.jct.ie)
A collated list of the workshops can be found on this page and the workshops are also available in individual subject pages on this website. Teachers who teach a second subject, and who were unable to attend a workshop in that subject during 2019/2020, are now able to access the relevant workshop presentations and materials online. We also hope these repurposed materials will continue to be of support to all teachers into the future.

Junior Cycle for Teachers (JCT) is a dedicated continuing professional development (CPD)
support service of the Department of Education. Our aim is to support schools in
their implementation of the new Junior Cycle Framework through the provision of
appropriate high quality continuing professional development for school leaders and
teachers, and the provision of effective teaching and learning resources.
