Below you will find the recording of our recent webinar where we discussed authentic target language use in the MFL classroom. The webinar is divided into two parts: Part 1 contains the recording of the webinar with helpful suggestions and ideas shared by teachers in the classroom. Part 2 is a recording of the panel discussion with Dr. Céline Healy, Catherine Jeanneau and Tina Killackey, who share their expertise and ideas on how to encourage authentic target language use in the classroom. You will also find handouts with practical ideas for classroom activities shared by participants on the night as well as links to authentic reading and listening material in French, German, Italian and Spanish.
Our webinar "CBA 1 Oral Communication" was broadcast on January 30th. The digital story should demonstrate rich use of the target language ( French / German / Italian / Spanish), creativity and digital skills, to engage the audience and to tell a story. As part of the adjudication process, consideration will be given to the students' stage of language development. We look forward to seeing a range of digital stories from all year groups in junior cycle.
